Château Virgile Blanc comes from Costières de Nîmes, the southernmost appellation of France’s Rhône Valley, where white wine makes up only about 4% of production — making this a bit of a rarity. It’s a classic white Rhône blend built on Roussanne and Marsanne with smaller portions of Viognier and Rolle (Vermentino): the Roussanne brings stone fruit flavors plus weight and texture, the Marsanne contributes lively acidity, citrus, and minerality, the Viognier adds floral aromatics and tropical fruit, and the Rolle brightens the whole package. Grapes are harvested at night to preserve freshness, and the wine spends six months on the lees for extra complexity.
